My Theme for 2014
I want to start by wishing all of you a happy New Year. This is one of my favorite times of year because the year is fresh, and it gives me the opportunity to really think about new ideas and what I want to accomplish over the next year.
I want to give you a tip to help simplify the goal setting process. Instead of writing out goals for the next year, I think of one word that sums up what success will feel like to me at the end of the year. I use that word throughout the entire year as my compass to guide my direction and decision-making.
I have some questions that will help you determine what your word should be. The first question is: What do you want to focus on in 2014? What habits do you need to break? What do you really want to accomplish between now and the end of the year? Some examples of words that I’ve either used myself or have seen clients use are: systems, focus, follow-through, thrive – it could even be – stabilize.
Once you come up with your word, I want you to ask yourself another question. If I live this word day in and day out for 2014, what will be different in my life and in my practice at the end of this year? Be specific because these are the things that will result from you staying true to your theme or your word of the year.
Here at KP Consulting we put a lot of thought into our word for 2014, and we ended up choosing the word – stabilize. 2013 was full of exciting new things for KP Consulting. We added group seminars and mastermind groups. We want to take what we’ve put in place and really make it solid and strong, so it’s successful for years to come. I would love to know what word you pick for 2014. Please leave your word in the comments section below so we can support one another in reaching our 2014 goals.
Let’s work together to make 2014 your best year yet. If there’s any way KP Consulting can help you take your practice to reach those goals, please contact us at contact@kristinpelletier.com.
