Stop Settling

When doctors share with me what their stressors are, sometimes it’s the little things causing them the biggest amount of stress. They have allowed them to build up to create a lot of frustration.

Tolerating even the little things in your practice, will zap your energy and keep you from focusing on what you’re really trying to achieve in your practice.

I encourage you to:

·      Take an honest look at any area of your practice where you feel like there are things you’re just tolerating.

·      Identify areas that that aren’t the way you want them or you’re not happy with, but you just haven’t had the energy to address.

·      Make a list to hold yourself accountable.

To tackle areas you’ve identified:

1.    Create a safe space outside or when you’re relaxing.

2.    Pick just one thing on that list.

3.    Decide what the next step is to resolve that item to a more ideal situation.

4.    Move on to the next item on your list and schedule time to do this on a regular basis.

The key is: Do not let things build up! You’ll find it will zap your energy and dwindle your enthusiasm.

Staying on top of these little things will really add up to big results!
