Work on This and Everything Else Will Fall into Place
When I started my business almost 9 years ago, my initial thought was that practices just needed help with systems. Systems would help practices reach the level of success they were shooting for and it was really just that simple.
What I’ve learned over the years is that mindset plays a much bigger role in success than what I first realized. Your inner game, what’s going on on the inside, has a lot more to do with your success than what you’re doing on the outside.
I’ll give you an example: I’ve been working with 2 separate practices over the last year and they both had similar goals and similar things that they were trying to achieve.
Practice #1 … Their team was really excited about the changes and they had the positive expectation that they were going to be very successful with this project. And guess what, THEY WERE!
Practice #2 … The second team, was very similar in practice size. They had the same goal, but they also had a lot of fear surrounding this change. Many of the team members believed they would fail even before they ever even started.
As a practice owner, you really want to look at your team’s mindset as a mirror as far as how well you are sharing your vision and inspiring them to get on board with your vision because the mindset piece is essential to reach your full potential in your practice. If a project is surrounded by negativity, this is your clue that you have more work to do sharing your vision and inspiring your team so you can ensure a successful outcome.
Systems are great and they’re essential for a practice to be successful, but if you really want to take your practice to the next level, you also want to learn to cultivate a success-minded practice with a positive mindset.
