Do Your Patients Know Your Value?

Do you talk to your patients about benefits?

Not insurance benefits but, instead, the extra value that they receive as a patient in your practice. Many offices provide great value for their patients, but sadly, the patients often have no idea.

For example:

Your practice may do something as simple as use a warmer for anesthetics to make the injection more comfortable. Yet, as the patient is being prepped, they are never made aware of the exceptional treatment they are receiving.

Your practice may also be doing Oral Cancer Screenings on every patient but they are not being made aware of what you are doing. Let them know that your practice does this once a year to make sure they catch anything unusual early.

Patients want to know that they are well cared for.

It is important that you communicate everything that you’re doing in a way that lets the patient see the benefit of being a patient in your practice. Even though these are things that you do day in and day out, and you know the value of them, patients may not even be aware they are getting treatment that is above the norm.

I recommend that you schedule a team meeting to talk about all of the things you are already doing to take extra care of your patients.

Discuss how you can make sure that your patients are aware of these extras.

Make a list of things that you can start communicating to your patients to increase the value that they perceive when they are in your practice.
