Erase This Headache

Here is a quick scheduling tip that will really help you take control of your schedule.

It's a very simple verbal skill that will lead patients to select times on your schedule that you would like them to book.

The verbal skill is really just giving two options and asking which option the patient would prefer.

Studies show that as many as 75% of people will go where they are led, so when you make an appointment for a patient, lead them to the time that you want them to book on the schedule.

It will sound something like this:

  • “We have Tuesday at 2:00 or Thursday at 3:00. Which works best for you?

Use this method instead of asking the patient, “What time works best for your schedule?”, because they might say a time you’re not open or don’t have availability.

Offering the patient two options, helps narrow down choices for them and helps you fill those preferred times on your schedule.
