How to find the hidden potential in each day

Many dental practices have a regular morning meeting, sometimes called a “morning huddle,” so they can review the day’s schedule and make sure everyone is on the same page. While it is important to review the schedule and prepare for the day, many practices miss the opportunity to really excel by not looking for hidden potential.

What do I mean by hidden potential? Is there an opportunity to enhance a patient's experience, or to make a patient feel extra special that day? Is there anything in your notes from the last appointment with that patient that you need to review? If a patient has a lot of restorative work, have you planned for the doctor to spending more time in that operatory?

Encourage each team member to come to the huddle with some form of potential that could take your ordinary day and make it extraordinary. The potential is always there...you just have to be intentional to find it! Share your ideas for making your day extraordinary in the comments section below.
